First, note that you can buy this saw at Sears for $69.99.I bought it to do light trim in small jobs where I didn't want to carry around my 50lb Dewalt miter saw. At first, I thought it to be useless junk. After lots of adjusting and use on more carpenter-type jobs, I found its small size and light weight handy enough to live with its inadequacies. Second, forget the compound bevel cuts--you will never get within a degree or two of your desired angle and the setting will only last for a cut or two. Further, When you rotate the blade for a compound cut, it does not stay at the desired miter angle. For example, tilting it 45 degrees at what you would hope to be a 30 degree miter angle will probably give you a miter angle between 28 and 32 degrees, even if you can get an accurate tilt angle, which is unlikely. Third, plan on spending a lot of time adjusting the laser. Fourth, throw away the blade it comes with and buy a Freud thin... I love this little guy for backyard DIY work. Yeah, it's imprecise, but it cuts well, it's super light, and it tucks away nicely. The laser also works well enough to handle most jobs.
